[Yes.. the Moon! I know. I was lucky enough to watch from beneath clear skies. The light of the sun began to leave the full-kissed moon. The last sunlight vanished from the moon’s cusp, and the face dipped into red. The red of blood, of garnet, of carbuncle — deep red, fiery coal of the firmament. Even in the dark shadow of the Earth, the moon shone in the sea of space. A lovely face appears in the glow, made more relatable by its richly blooded tone—as if the moon were become flesh. In but one of my photos does the soft face come through. A blessing to come through at all~
I lay in bed after my viewing and received, in inhibition of sleep, a stream of visions of Vertex. Red and Blue currents curling, into one another, into a merge point.. The Vertex! This word has been possessing me. It has felt to me like, Vortex — but better. Somehow there was more to it. The Vertex showed up first in #74 - MEMORIES OF FUTURE and then again in #75 - IN THE CENTER OF THE STORM. I come now to realize that, ah, vertex, vertere — the turning (point), the whirling (center). Of course! Vortex is a deri~variant of Vertex. The highest-most point, the point above; the place of great interest; the Descartesian point where invisible ether rotates. An eddy of water, wind, and/or flame. Where all things bend. The top of the head. The whirling column. The point opposite the base of a figure. Yes — it all becomes clear now. My visions of the Vertex encompassed all this, and more! How the vertex can be at once mere point — and yet contain, within it, the whole universe~ ] Received 3/14/25 | 5:47-5:58am
Listen to the Recitation:
VERTEX
The point
The center
The index
Where all is one
And not in forsake of its manyness
Swirl spiraling
Into
The minute
From
The miniscule
Two shining eyes in the dark
Become one red round
The third yields to the first
And the circle comes full:
A thin veiled orchard
With trees, bearing fruit
